Writing, much like life, doesn't give you the option to just quit if it isn't going your away. True writers still write even if they get little to no traction. Why? Because it's the journey of writing that matters. Everything else - money, followers, claps - is incidental.

The trick is to just keep your wits about yourself every step of the curve. Keep writing!
