Excellent recommendation. I will read this one after I finish my Sophie Kinsella (I've been having a tough time in life and she helps me forget my problems).
I cry on airplanes, too! Well, I cry everywhere but mostly in my car. I think the reason we cry in airplanes is because we're rooted to the spot. The seat is our life and now we have hours to sit down and face it. That brings the big, fat realisations and the big, fat insecurities and hence, the big, fat tears. Does that make sense?
If you love sagas, I'd recommend Pachinko by Min Jin Lee? It's one of the hardest, softest, and bittersweetest books I've ever read. Here's my review, if you want to check: https://soniachauhn.medium.com/the-best-korean-literary-fiction-b7337f2d0494
