I feel you, Andy. I literally do.
I am just returning from my local bookstore.
I wanted to buy my friend a birthday gift. So, we went to the bookstore. I was showing her the options and at one point, she said - oh god, don't show me so much. A bookstore is like a toystore for me. I lose control.
A bookstore is - more than anything - a sensory experience. Being surrounded by so many colours and fonts and pictures is something that stays with you. A webpage can never do that.
And for that reason itself, bookstores and libraries are essential to our collective sanity, and relief.
