I want to highlight the hell out of your article.

I’m from India, and of course, the gender bias here is sky high and much more in-your-face kind of a thing. Since the lockdown, my husband has chipped in equally on all chores with a happy face.

The problem is this: I can’t help but feel relieved and kinda ecstatic by his generosity of spirit. My friends see him as a Messiah. My mom tells me I married right.

But here’s my point ~ Why is him chipping made out to be such a big deal? No one is congratulating me for keeping the house running, 24*7. The tasks I used to do alone earlier, I still do them alone. Not that I aren’t grateful for his help, I am. And yes, he genuinely wants to share the load.

The only difference is he gets much more credit for it than I ever will.

Those who read this comment and feel I’m being nasty prove my point.
