Its like this.

You take out time for being with your thoughts. Oops, your thoughts are negative thanks to the brain’s hardwired negative bias.

So, you imbibe philosophy and stoicism and learn to cultivate equanimity.

This is the part we all miss. We don’t want to do the internal work that cuts through the jungle of negative thoughts and rumination. Its much easier to just occupy your mind, tap into that executive network mode and get into work, or running, or building a start up.

Doing nothing needs a level of mental resilience that needs a lot of work. It only works when you’ve achieved a balance.

The balance is too fine. Like moon-walking on a tightrope.
